Duties and responsibilities related to the Security Officer - Flexi Hours role
·Conduct regular patrols of guest floors, public, and back-of-house areas, including perimeter checks, to maintain safety and security standards.
·Ensure all rooms, offices, and service areas are secure, and identify and report any fire, health, or safety hazards.
·Respond to incidents and emergencies, including crimes and accidents, ensuring proper procedures are followed and reports are completed accurately.
·Control access to the premises, including monitoring staff entrances, issuing and managing ID cards and visitor passes, and preventing unauthorised entry.
·Investigate and document all incidents, accidents, and injuries involving guests, employees, or hotel property.
·Maintain accurate records of incidents, breaches, and security concerns, including updating the occurrence book and preparing formal reports.
·Support compliance with health and safety regulations, including enforcing policies such as smoking restrictions and accident prevention measures.
About you
We are looking for a proactive and reliable individual with a strong sense of responsibility and professionalism. Previous experience in a security or similar role is highly advantageous, and experience within a hotel or hospitality environment is desirable. The ideal candidate will have excellent observational and communication skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment for both guests and colleagues. A flexible approach to working hours and a strong team ethic are essential.
