Description du poste:

Software, the fuel for mobility
We bring bold digital visions to life. So we're on the lookout for more curious and creative engineers who want to create change - one line of high-quality code at a time. Our transformation isn't for everyone, but if you're excited about solving the leading-edge technological challenges facing the auto industry, then let's talk about your next move.

Let's introduce ourselves

Within Software & Electronics Platforms, the Zonal Execution Environment (ART ZEE) department develops the Zone Controllers for Volvo's new technology platform-one of the most technically challenging and strategically important areas of the future architecture.

These next generation multifunction units integrate:
* Body controllers
* I/O controllers
* Electrical power distribution
* Gateway functions
* Electrical power supply

Our teams work across the entire lifecycle-from early concept and system design to industrialization, manufacturing delivery, and in field performance follow up.
We are now seeking a talented System Software Architect to help us build the foundation of Volvo's next generation electric vehicles.

What you'll do

As a System Software Architect for the Zone Controller, you will have a key role in shaping the software defined future of Volvo Cars.

Lead Architecture & Technical Direction
* Define the Zone Controller's software architecture and implementation strategy, from BSW configuration to applications running in customer cars.
* Ensure seamless integration of the software stack with all ECU components across the vehicle.

Drive Development, Testing & Integration
* Plan and coordinate test activities, including equipment needs and validation scope.
* Guide development of BSW configurations and secure high quality ECU delivery for manufacturing.
* Contribute to automated workflows-continuous integration, continuous testing, and efficient deployment of new software.

Enable Innovation & Quality
* Support teams in identifying, exploring, and implementing architectural enablers.
* Foster a quality first culture using modern tools and engineering practices.
* Collaborate with experts across Volvo Cars, suppliers, and external partners in a global environment.

This role offers broad exposure across multiple domains, ensuring long term growth in a highly skilled and collaborative organization.

What you'll bring

You are a curious, positive, and engaged person with a strong drive to support and elevate teams. You excel at communication, value collaboration, and are skilled at balancing diverse stakeholder needs. You have a passion for turning architectural vision into real-world implementation and are comfortable building strong formal and informal relationships. You use your technical insight to weigh system-level trade offs, understand end to end design consequences, and make balanced architectural decisions. You take a structured, self driven approach to your work, with high ambitions and a strong sense of ownership.

To succeed as a System Software Architect within Core System Components, you have broad and deep knowledge of technologies across hardware, software, CI pipelines, and system safety. You are open to new tools and methods and have strong expertise in AUTOSAR, our primary operating environment. You communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken.
Meritorious experience includes:
* Strong AUTOSAR proficiency
* Embedded software development
* Configuration management tools
* Software release processes
* Coding in C and Python
* CAN and Automotive Ethernet communication
* HIL systems and real time simulation
* Continuous Integration / Continuous Verification / Continuous Development
* Platform development
* Long term roadmap and technical evolution planning
