Job Description

* Develop the global FX, precious metals and digital assets strategy for LGT Private Bank Europe
* Monitor macroeconomic news flow, central bank policy, follow market dynamics, build FX valuation and forecasting models
* Utilize the derived findings in order to contribute to the bank's investment strategy
* Provide relationship managers and clients with timely market updates, investment views and tactical recommendations
* Prepare and present investable recommendations in weekly investment meetings
* Generate high-conviction investment and trading ideas based on macroeconomic and fundamental analysis
* Collaborate closely with macroeconomic analysis colleagues, as well as fixed income and equity strategy teams to assess cross-asset implications
* Present LGT Private Bank Europe investment views to front colleagues as well as to private clients

Requirements

* University degree in economics, finance or related discipline
* Previous practical or research experience in a currency and/or precious metal strategy and knowledge of digital assets are beneficial
* 1-3 years of relevant experience in investment strategy, research or a comparable field; exceptional recent graduates will also be considered
* CFA or CEFA/CIIA qualification, or progress towards one of these certifications, is an advantage
* Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including statistical methods and advanced Excel capabilities; MATLAB is a plus
* Familiarity with forecasting and trading models; experience in backtesting and cross-asset strategy is an advantage
* Fluency in English and German, with strong communication skills and a client-oriented mindset
* Independent, committed and service-oriented personality with a professional demeanour, strong team spirit, and willingness to travel occasionally
