The Opportunity: Secure the Digital Future
We are living in an era where trust is the new currency. As businesses rush to adopt Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, and Big Data, the risks they face evolve exponentially.
At KPMG Hong Kong, we don't just "check boxes" for compliance. We act as the architects of Digital Trust. We help the world's leading financial institutions and multinational corporations navigate uncertainty, ensuring that technology acts as a springboard for innovation, not a stumbling block.
KPMG is looking for someone who is passionate about helping our clients with their technology risk and cyber security challenges:
Why join KPMG Technology Risk
KPMG China's Technology Risk consulting practice is a market leader, recognized for shifting the narrative from "Cyber Security as an IT issue" to "Cyber Security as a Business Enabler."
Cutting-Edge Exposure: Work on projects involving AI Governance, Cloud Security Transformation, and FinTech regulation.
A "One Team" Culture: Our Hong Kong division is one of the fastest-growing and most youthful teams within the firm. We reject silos; you will work alongside Strategy, Risk Consulting, and Digital Transformation colleagues to deliver holistic solutions.
Impact: You won't just be writing reports. You will help clients defend against cyber-attacks, recover from ransomware, and build ethical governance frameworks for the technologies of tomorrow.
Your Role & Responsibilities
As a Graduate Consultant, you will have the opportunity to work on different areas of Technology Risk and Cyber Security, gaining a 360-degree view of the industry. Your day-to-day may involve:
Cyber Strategy & Defense: Helping clients simulate cyber-attacks (penetration test, Red Teaming), designing defense strategies.
Digital Trust: Evaluating the controls surrounding emerging technologies (Blockchain, AI, Cloud) to ensure they are safe, reliable, and compliant with regulators (HKMA, SFC).
Technology Risk Governance: innovative IT Risk frameworks that align with business strategy, ensuring that IT investments deliver value while minimizing risk.
Data Privacy: Advising clients on how to protect customer data in an increasingly regulated global landscape (GDPR, PIPL).
Client Engagement: Collaborate with client stakeholders to understand their pain points and translating complex technical risks into clear business language for C-suite executives.
Benefits We Offer
We know that today's graduates value growth, flexibility, and purpose. Here is our commitment to you:
World-Class Certification Support: We sponsor and support your journey toward globally recognized certifications (e.g., CISA, CISSP, OSCP, GXPEN).
Structured Mentorship: You will be paired with a dedicated performance manager and a "buddy" to guide your career progression and personal well-being.
Agile Working: We empower you to work where you are most productive, blending client site visits, office collaboration, and remote work.
Global Mobility: As part of a network operating in 142 countries, high performers often have opportunities for secondments and global project collaboration.
ESG & Impact: Join a firm committed to being a responsible corporate citizen. Participate in our CSR initiatives and help clients build sustainable, ethical tech ecosystems.
We will help you to develop your skills and career within the KPMG network.
Who We Are Looking For
Modern consulting requires more than just technical know-how; it requires curiosity, adaptability, and emotional intelligence.
The Essentials:
Academic: Final year student or recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree or above.
Discipline: Ideally majors in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cyber Security, or Engineering are preferred. We also welcome STEM majors or business graduates with a strong passion for technology and a self-taught technical aptitude.
Language: Excellent command of written and spoken English. Proficiency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin is highly advantageous for our client base
Work Status: A permanent resident or holder of the right of abode/IANG visa eligibility in Hong Kong.
The "Consultant Mindset":
Tech-Savvy Storyteller: You can analyze complex technical problems and explain the business impact to a non-technical management.
Critical Thinker: You don't just accept things as they are. You ask "Why?" and look for smarter, faster ways to solve problems.
Agile Learner: Technology changes fast. You are excited to learn about new tools (e.g., Generative AI, Python scripting) and apply them to your work.
Collaborative Leader: You have demonstrated leadership-whether through university societies, sports teams, or internships-and thrive in a diverse, high-energy team environment
