Associate, Software Engineering Intern
Location: Canada
The Associate, Software Engineering Intern is responsible for implementing the product developmentstrategyandmanagingmediaproductsandservices.Workingcollaboratively with senior support and managers, the Associate Software Engineering Intern is accountable for coordinating the production, testing, and updating of media products and components.
Responsibilities:
* Collaboratewithandtakedirectionfromstakeholdersonproductdevelopment, design, and production; could work on part or whole of media program
* ParticipateinandcontributetoPearsonAIinitiatives
* Providetechnicalsupport
* Coordinate testing of products, creating test cases, quality assurance/quality control plans, documentation, training plans for customer support
* Coordinate the production ofmedia products, services, and conversion oflegacy content to meet customer needs
* Developusersupportdocuments
* Keepcurrentontechnologies, learningmanagementsystems, andenterprise-wide platforms
Relevant Experience and Technical Skills:
* GeneralAIknowledge
* ProficiencyinworkingwithgenerativeAI
* Demonstratedcourseware/web/applicationdevelopmentexperience
* Hands-onexperienceorsignificantknowledgeofcodingandprogrammingwith HTML5, JavaScript, Python, XML, AJAX, JQuery, JSON, CSS
* Proficientwithrelationaldatabases
* Familiarwithlearning technologiessuchasSCORM,LTI/QTI,APIs
* ExperiencewithAgiledevelopmentandprojectmanagement
* Hands-onexperiencewithorknowledgeofePub3standardsaplus
* Knowledgeofaudio/videocompressionsoftwareandgeneralvideoproduction techniques is a plus
* Experiencewithinterfacedesign,UX,and/orinstructionaldesignaplus
* Experiencewithfront-endframeworkssuchasAngularJS,EmberJS,Flux/ReactJSa plus
* Experiencewithenterprise server-side technologiessuchasJ2EEand.Net aplus
Educational Requirement or Equivalent:
* CurrentlypursuingaDegreeorDiplomainwebtechnologies,software development, AI, or a related field

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by factors including skill set, experience, and location.
* The hourly rate for this role is $20 - $22 per hour . This position is eligible for accrued paid sick time.
