The (COMPANY NAME) Military Internship Program (NG-MIP) is an approved SkillBridge Program under Dept. of Defense Instruction 1322.29 .The NG-MIP program is an opportunity for transitioning service members to gain valuable civilian work experience through an individual internship during their last 6 months of service, for up to 180 days. The (COMPANY NAME) Military internship Program is open to all ranks and experience levels. SkillBridge participants are not eligible for compensation from (COMPANY NAME), as they continue to receive military compensation and benefits as active-duty service members.
Responsibilities for this internship position are:
(COMPANY NAME) Corporation (NGC) has developed the (COMPANY NAME) - Military Internship Program (DoD SkillBridge) utilizing the DoDI guidance for SkillBridge. During this program the service member will be on-site at his or her host company performing an individual internship in an entry to mid-level career type role. The service member will be on the job training supporting a work schedule equivalent to 40hrs per week. Outlined below are the Goals, Objectives, and Outcomes for the program.
Goals - Provide transitioning service members fellowship-style job skills training during the last portion(s) of their military commitment. This program is specifically designed to offer internships that result in the potential to transition to a full-time opportunity as the conclusion of the training. Interns will serve as a pipeline for high-speed, motivated military candidates into NGC.
Objectives - Service Members who complete the Intern program will be highly-trained, capable, future employees that align to the specific needs of the organization and are prepared to meet the NG mission "Defining Possible" on Day 1. This program provides a comprehensive internship experience including professional development, networking with leadership, and training specifically focused on NG leadership principles, company history, customer/stakeholder engagement, product and service overview, and core job responsibilities.
Outcome - Offer transitioning service member a rewarding opportunity to join the (COMPANY NAME) team.
DoD SkillBridge Eligibility:
* Has served at least 180 days on active duty
* Is within 12 months of separation or retirement
* Will receive an honorable discharge
* Has taken any service TAPS/TGPS
* Has attended or participated in an ethics brief within the last 12 months
* Received Unit Commander (first O-4/Field Grade commander in chain of command) written authorization and approval to participate in DoD SkillBridge Program prior to start of internship.

Job Description:
(COMPANY NAME) Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking a Strategic Planning Analyst within the Strategic Planning & Development organization. The selected applicant will become a trusted member of the team and will work closely with business partners to identify and quantify requirements and challenges associated with enabling NGMS' core objectives, perform relevant financial analysis, develop, and support strategies across mission systems businesses, and assist in coordinating strategic direction across the Sector. The ideal candidate an understanding of the key value drivers and industry dynamics of the Aerospace and Defense sector, strong analytical skills, the ability to self-start in a fast-paced organization, and the skills to evaluate and assess investment priorities and options in support of the NGMS strategy. The candidate would aid in the creation of product, portfolio, and market analyses to support strategic planning and positioning. Teamwork and collaboration across the Strategic Growth team is required.

Key Responsibilities Include:
* Conduct strategic assessments of financial plans, markets, competitors, pipeline, etc. to support the development and shaping of the Sector's multi-year investment portfolio in alignment with overall NGMS strategy.
* Support new development and maintenance of capabilities, strategic frameworks, and tools to prioritize, de-emphasize, shape, and manage the overall portfolio
* Use quantitative methods including modeling to assess investment scenarios, proactively manage investment execution, and to support decision making
* Support financial and business case analyses of proposed Division investments across the Sector
* Develop presentations/briefings to executive leadership and senior stakeholders

Basic Qualifications (Level 2)
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with a minimum of 3 of experience, or master's degree with a minimum of 1 experience
* Previous experience in strategic assessment, strategy development, or financial analysis
* Knowledge of MS Office Suite skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams skills
* Experience working with cross functional teams.
* Knowledge of analytical tools
* U.S. Citizen able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance

Basic Qualifications (Level 3)
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with a minimum of 6 of experience, or master's degree with a minimum of 4 experience
* Previous experience in strategic assessment, strategy development, or financial analysis
* Knowledge of MS Office Suite skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams skills
* Experience working with cross functional teams.
* Knowledge of analytical tools
* U.S. Citizen able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications
* Ability to learn Salesforce, Tableau, or other analytical tools.
* Experience in strategic planning, portfolio development, and/or strategic assessment
* Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry
* Bachelor's degree or master's degree in a technical field such as, engineering, computer/data science, finance/accounting
* Able to interact at all levels of the organization in a professional and organized manner.
* Experience presenting to and engaging with Executive Leadership.
* Excellent oral/written communication, presentation, analytical, and critical thinking skills
* Advanced MS Office Suite skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
* Knowledge of Salesforce, Tableau, or other analytical tools
* Knowledge of (COMPANY NAME) products and solutions
* Current active DoD Secret or Top-Secret security clearance

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, (COMPANY NAME) considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
