Position Summary

Building community relationships is key to our company's giving back strategy and making a world a better place. It requires a passionate advocate, so that's why we need you. You'll be a key member of North America community engagement team, responsible for making a difference in our community. This role will have a direct impact in humanizing our brand and increasing engagement through community outreach programs. We're looking for someone who can administer and execute of all types of philanthropy projects.

The community engagement intern is responsible for assisting with the administration of community relations and employee engagement programs, both locally and nationally (U.S. and Canada). Lenovo focuses its community engagement on providing access to technology and advancing Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education programs, and empowering employees to improve the community.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist in implementing community events including in-person and virtual staff volunteer projects, donation drives, and high school internship program.
* Review and respond to community requests for support, documenting necessary compliance correspondence, and processing payments or product donations.
* Provide on-going support to community partners and follow-up with recipients of donations to ensure impact reporting is complete.

Required Qualifications

* Pursuing a bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, communications, business, or related field.
* Passionate about community work, charitable contributions and volunteerism.
* Highly results driven, organized, and detail oriented.
* Strong time and project management skills - with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
* Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to communicate with internal and external partners.
* Ability to execute in the short term, fast-paced environment while designing for the future.

Preferred Qualifications

* Event management experience.
* Volunteer project coordination experience.
