Job Description

This position is for current students of an accredited Engineering program.
This internship experience will support the design and validation of various low-pressure and high-pressure gasoline engine components. The student will also support other departments in the plant (production, quality, etc) when development related tasks arise.
Examples of tasks include:
* Tear-downs of field return/development tested components to expose internal failure locations in order to analyze surface conditions.
* Documentation of tear-down investigations (presentations and/or reports) and presenting results
* Coordinating and conducting design related testing
* Data analysis, interpretation and presentation of testing results
* Creating scripts in order to automate repetitive tasks

Qualifications

Preferred Skills and Background:
* Interest in Automotive Background
* Mechanical background along with general understanding of material
* Matlab and CAD experience
* Coding experience (python, javascript, etc)
* Ability to effectively present and communicate findings
* Ability to work within a team
* Knowledge of mechanical drawing, Geometric dimension & tolerance
Minimum Requirements:
* Currently enrolled in an accredited university majoring in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Materials Science with at least one semester completed.
* Strong Microsoft Office skills
