Furniture Design Intern

Role Overview
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Furniture Design Intern to support our design team in developing trend-forward and commercially viable furniture collections for retail stores and e-commerce platforms. The intern will assist in concept development, market research, 3D visualization, and coordination with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
* Assist in designing furniture concepts for living, dining, bedroom, and storage categories
* Research international and domestic furniture trends, materials, finishes, and consumer preferences
* Support in creating mood boards, sketches, technical drawings, and presentations
* Work on 3D modeling and rendering using tools like SketchUp, Rhino, Blender, or AutoCAD
* Coordinate with sourcing, merchandising, and visual merchandising teams
* Assist in sample development and product documentation
* Support seasonal collection planning and product innovation initiatives
* Maintain design libraries, references, and material boards

Requirements
* Pursuing or recently completed Bachelor's/Master's in Furniture Design, Product Design, Industrial Design, or Interior Design
* Strong interest in furniture and home retail industry
* Knowledge of design tools such as SketchUp, Rhino, AutoCAD, Blender, Adobe Photoshop, or Illustrator
* Understanding of materials, furniture construction, finishes, and space aesthetics
* Good visualization and presentation skills
* Creative mindset with attention to detail

Preferred Skills
* Knowledge of furniture trends and retail design
* Basic understanding of manufacturing and furniture materials
* Portfolio showcasing furniture/product design projects
* Ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment
