Groups & Events Trainee - Sheraton Milan San Siro

The successful candidate will join the Groups & Events Team, supporting the department in the organisation and management of events and helping to ensure impeccable service and a memorable experience for our guests.

Key responsibilities
* Support the team in the planning and coordination of corporate meetings, conferences, banquets and special events.
* Assist in the preparation of operational documentation (BEO - Banquet Event Order, programmes, layouts).
* Assist with the management of operational systems, such as Opera and Sales & Catering.
* Collaborate with internal departments (F&B, Sales, Front Office, Housekeeping) to ensure the smooth running of the event.
* Welcome guests during events and provide on-site operational support.
* Monitor set-ups and ensure that the hotel's standards are met.
* Support the management of last-minute requests and the resolution of any issues that may arise.
* Contribute to updating databases, reporting and the department's administrative tasks.
* Take part in site inspections and pre-event briefings.
Preferred Qualifications
* A qualification in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Tourism or related disciplines.
* Good communication skills and an aptitude for teamwork.
* Problem-solving skills and operational flexibility.
* Good knowledge of English; a second language is an advantage.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office; knowledge of industry-specific management software is an advantage.
