Job Description
What you'll do
● Participate in GE Vernova's Lean Summer Experience Program and gain practical exposure to lean methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
● Support improvement projects focused on operational efficiency, waste reduction, and process optimization.
●Analyze data and identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement across business processes.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help implement lean initiatives and track progress against objectives.
● Assist in problem-solving activities using structured lean tools and methods.
● Contribute ideas and recommendations that enhance productivity, quality, and sustainability outcomes.
●Engage with industry experts and team members to build knowledge of lean principles in a real-world business environment.
●Document findings, actions, and results from improvement activities and communicate updates clearly to stakeholders.
●Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset while supporting GE Vernova's mission and business priorities.
What you'll bring (Basic Qualifications)
● Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electrical, Computer Science, Industrial, Aeronautical & related fields) and enrolled in the 6th to 8th semester of study. (preferably 1 year away from graduating)
● Authorized to work in Mexico.
● Advanced English language skills.
● Available to work at least 6 hours per day for 8 weeks beginning June at the QTC location (Uptown Tower II, Querétaro).
Desired Characteristics
●Basic LEAN knowledge.
●Experience with Macros, Python, Java, data base basics, front end, angular or react.
●Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify areas for improvement.
● Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
● Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
● Demonstrated interest in lean principles and continuous improvement.
