About the Team

The Smart Factory & Digitalization team is leading the transformation of manufacturing operations through continuous improvement, process optimization, and Industry 4.0 initiatives. Working in agile and multidisciplinary environments, the team identifies operational challenges, analyzes production data, and supports the deployment of digital solutions that increase efficiency and productivity across the shop floor. By collaborating with manufacturing, engineering, and digitalization teams, we help bridge operational needs with innovative technologies.

What you can look forward to as Lean Digitalization Intern:
* Support the analysis and optimization of manufacturing processes using Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
* Conduct process mapping activities and Value Stream Mapping (VSM) to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
* Gather and document operational requirements directly from production areas and stakeholders.
* Assist in the implementation and follow-up of Agile Scrum practices, supporting sprint planning and progress tracking.
* Analyze production and operational data to identify digitalization and automation opportunities.
* Collaborate with Smart Factory teams to support the deployment of Industry 4.0 solutions across manufacturing operations.
* Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on productivity, quality, and operational excellence.
* Gain hands-on experience in Lean, Agile, Digitalization, and Smart Factory initiatives within a global manufacturing environment.

Your Profile as Lean Digitalization Intern:

Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Management Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
*
Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
*
Understanding of Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban.
*
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
*
Ability to interpret data and translate findings into actionable improvement opportunities.
* Availability to work onsite from 8am to 2pm at ZF El Salto for one whole year (before graduation)
* Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
* Intermediate English communication skills are considered a plus for working in a global environment.
