This Position reports to:Team Leader
At Corporate Technology Center in Kraków, we create innovative solutions that are implemented in ABB products and systems. This is a unique opportunity to join interdisciplinary scientific teams and international projects where expertise, curiosity, and innovation are highly valued.
About the Internship:
* Start date: as soon as possible (18 August or 1 September 2026)
* Hybrid work model
* Availability of 20-25 hours per week

Your Responsibilities:
* Assist with mechanical simulations and numerical analyses of medium-voltage switchgear
* Help prepare and simplify models for structural, short-circuit, explosion, and environmental analyses
* Contribute to technical reports and presentations summarizing engineering results
* Learn engineering simulation tools and analytical methods under the guidance of experienced specialists
Requirements:
* 3rd or 4th year student of Mechanical Engineering, Automation & Robotics, Materials Engineering, or a related field
* Experience with 3D CAD software, SolidWorks or similar
* Communicative English skills with the ability to read technical documentation
* Eagerness to learn numerical simulations and mechanical engineering analysis
* Basic knowledge of Python is a plus
