How you'll play your part
In this role, you will support the product and pricing area within the wider Sales and Marketing team which is mainly responsible for two broad areas:
* Product ownership (80%) - Our core finance products are a key strand of our business today and into the future. Working with various stakeholders internally and externally we are responsible for monitoring the relevance of our existing product line up on an ongoing basis whilst exploring and developing new opportunities in line with our business strategy and ever-changing regulation.
* Pricing (20%) - Across the business we are responsible for the pricing of multiple sales channels, taking ownership for the process of rate setting. This involves working closely with our Treasury and sales teams, including our brand partner MBUK to deliver the most competitive rate in market whilst achieving our own internal business goals.
Main Accountabilities
* Play a key role in the submission of our annual product reviews and fair value assessments.
* Proactively explore new opportunities with market research, information gathering and data insights.
* Build business cases to support the delivery of product change and new product development.
* Lead early stakeholder engagement across new product opportunities.
* Working with local and HQ colleagues to enable a successful Risk Review process.
* Supporting the Product & Pricing Leads across all weekly and monthly tasks.
* Supporting the Product and Pricing Manager with adhoc requests, data analysis and recommendations.
* Consideration of the regulated environment in which we work and monitoring product suitability to align with Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulation.
About you
* A confidence to independently lead tasks.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse numerical data.
* Clear and effective communication skills.
* Able to interpret complex written information.
* Interest in Economics and/or the macro-environment.
* Basic understanding of FCA regulations within the UK Automotive Finance sector.
* Keen eye for detail.
* Self-motivated with strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
* Inquisitive, curious and confident to respectfully challenge ideas and assumptions.
