Job Description Summary
GE Vernova is seeking sharp, personable, highly organized intern who are looking for the opportunity to grow their technical and professional skills while building a career with unlimited potential. Interns will work with NPI Embedded software and Tools development team.

Job Description

Responsibilities:
* Understanding of the HVDC Control system plant network comprising of IEC-61850 capable IEDs, Switches and PLCs with the available material and guidance from development Team.
* Generating the specification to emulate the Plant communication system with the appropriate guidance from Principal Engineer/Senior Engineer
* Setting up of the emulation system along with programming the behaviour for proof of concept, that involves programming in popular languages like Python, C#
* Generation of Test cases and running the tests to prove the system as per specification

Required Qualifications & Skills:
* Currently enrolled in a bachelor's Degree program at an accredited university
* Bachelors in Computer Science/ Computer Networks/ Information Technology/ Software Engineering
* Proficient in any programming language like C, C++, Python, Java, C#
* Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills to work effectively with internal teams and suppliers

Key Competencies:
* Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to trouble shoot computing systems associated with networks.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
