Intern (Business Planning Controller/Financial Analyst)

OBJECTIVES
This role is responsible to run and manage routine finance operations and provide support to financial/business planning preparation and reporting in SEAO, primarily focusing on the markets in Singapore, Malaysia, Australia and emerging smaller markets. This role will also have the opportunity to work across various Maisons and key stakeholders (i.e. 3 days Givenchy, Kenzo, SSC + 2 days Loewe).
RESPONSIBILITIES
Month-end closing
* Participate in the monthly closing activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness,
* Support in preparing accurate and timely financial accruals and reports,
* Contribute to the preparation of management reports and other various reports to monitor expenses,
* Highlight variances against Budget / previous year, and support further investigations when needed
Budgeting, Forecasting & Commercial Controlling
* Assists in preparing the annual budget and revisions,
* Prepare the budget material to ensure smooth consolidation and markets' analysis,
* Report budget figures into the Group's reporting tool,
* Support in preparing budget presentation,
* Support continuous improvement of forecasting processes
* Track variances between budget, actuals, and historical performance, providing key insights
Data Analysis & Reporting
* Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to gather financial data and business insights,
* Analyze monthly performance, including variance analysis on revenues, margins, and operating costs,
* Support for creating ad-hoc reports and analysis,
* Ensure data integrity across all systems
Process Improvement
* Explore and implement new tools to automate month-end closing analyses and reporting processes,
* Undertake process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial planning and controlling processes,
* Support implementation of best practices in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis,
* Streamline reporting processes and improve data accuracy
PROFILE
* Pursuing an end-of-course internship or gap-year internship
* Demonstrate advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
* Ability to work in matrix and diverse environment
* Strong analytical skills with a curious and logical mindset
* Good communications skills and act with integrity
* Collaborate effectively as a team player, while also possessing the ability to work autonomously
