Backend Engineer Intern - Search (Jan-Apr 2026)

Description du poste:

* Responsible for the development and maintenance of Shopee's e-commerce search user-end products, efficiently supporting business operations and continuously improving the user search experience.
* Participate in the evolution of the search backend systems and architecture, continuously enhancing performance, stability, and resource efficiency to safeguard business-side innovations and improve personal technical skills.
* Stay updated on the latest trends in search business and technology, responsible for the introduction and implementation of new technologies, providing more possibilities for business innovation

Profil requis du candidat:

* Possess a degree and work experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other related fields.
* Possess strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms, as well as system design skills, and be familiar with Linux-based development and common technical components.
* Passionate about technical challenges, self-driven, and able to deliver project requirements on time.
* Excellent communication skills, an efficient team collaborator, and highly responsible.

You will be joining the Shopee E-commerce Search Engineering Team. The team is responsible for the systems that handle search services for billions of users on the Shopee platform, addressing challenges related to international cross-border/local market search and algorithm model training and inferencing. We are currently focused on extracting value from data, developing popular search products for consumers, and enhancing search experience and efficiency.
