At Sensor and Reagent Development BGE, we are innovators at the forefront of healthcare technologies. Our highly skilled team of scientists and engineers designs and develops sensors and reagents critical for blood gas and electrolyte (BGE) analyzers, which play a vital role in ensuring accurate and reliable patient diagnostics that impact lives every day.
The Opportunity
● Support Manufacturing Process Development:
Collaborate with the R&D and operations teams to develop and refine manufacturing processes for thick film sensors for a new product development project. This refers especially to data processing efficiency.
● Method development:
Support in developing and establishing new methods for image analysis and data analyses, like visualization, correlation, or analyses tools
● Data management:
Improve the script-based collection and processing of production and process control data from various sources to allow automation of routine tasks and analyses. Adapt or extend scripts for changing or new data sources.
● Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of scripts and method definitions.
Who You Are
* You are currently enrolled in or have completed your Bachelor's, Master's or PhD studies within 12 months prior to the internship's start date, ideally in the fields of Informatics, Data Science, or a related technical discipline and you are interested in applying your knowledge in a modern working environment as part of an internship.
* You have a solid educational background in Informatics, Data Science, or a closely related technical field, which is essential for this role.
* You are experienced in data management, processing, and analysis, with the ability to confidently handle various data sources such as SQL databases, CSV files, or log files, which is a key requirement for the position.
* Skills in digital image processing, object-oriented programming (OOP) in Python, and data visualization tools are a strong advantage, adding significant value to this opportunity.
* You are technically inclined and curious, with a keen interest in understanding manufacturing processes, including areas such as thick film technology and sensor fabrication, which will be an asset in this role.
* Your ability to solve problems and analyze complex data with precision and efficiency is indispensable.
* Clear communication and effective teamwork are essential qualities you possess, enabling you to thrive in collaborative environments.
* Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in German is highly beneficial for optimal communication in this role.
Additional Information
* This internship is based in Rotkreuz, Switzerland, and work will be conducted on-site.
* The program is scheduled to start as soon as possible and will run for six months, with the possibility of extension to one year.
* This is a full-time opportunity; part-time arrangements are not possible.
* Writing a thesis during this internship is not permitted.
* For applicants from outside the EU/EFTA without a residence permit: a mandatory letter from the university is required, including duration, and a valid enrollment certificate.
