Junior Accountant - VIE Contract

iMove, the Sanofi VIE Program, is available to citizens of the European Economic Area (EU + Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland) aged between 18 and 28.

About the job

As Junior Accountant VIE within our Account to Report, GSA team you'll participate in the accounting activities across 5 Swiss entities. You will provide support to global shared service centers and regional teams, and support the coordination with external auditors during interim and final audit phases.

Main responsibilities:

Daily Operations:
* Perform account reconciliations and open items review.
* Process and monitor accounting transactions including vendors, customers, Fixed Assets & Leases, intercompany operations, Payroll and cash movements.

Closing & Reporting Activities:
* Prepare and book monthly closing entries.
* Support the preparation of reporting packages.
* Assist in the preparation of analytical reviews and variance analysis.
* Support quarterly VAT declarations and compliance reporting.
* Assist in the preparation of Swiss statutory financial statements.

Contribute to strategic Special Projects & Transformation Initiatives (2026-2028):
* Support the migration to SHIFT system for eligible entities, and participate in entity integration project and business consolidation activities.
* Contribute to process improvements and system implementations.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
* Work closely with internal stakeholders (Senior Accountant, Head of A2R, global shared service centers and regional teams) and external stakeholders (Payroll providers, External Auditors).

About you

Experience:
* Experience with ERP systems (SAP knowledge is a strong plus).
* Experience with and knowledge of accounting principles (Swiss GAAP and IFRS preferred).

Soft and technical skills:
* Ability to work with multiple accounting systems and platforms.
* Attention to detail and accuracy, strong organizational and time management skills.
* Ability to work under pressure during closing periods, and to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
* Team player, who is proactive and also has autonomous working style.
* Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic environment, international, multicultural work environment and ability to collaborate effectively across different time zones and cultural backgrounds.
* Curiosity and willingness to understand business operations.
* Strong sense of responsibility and confidentiality.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
* Understanding of internal controls and compliance requirements.

Education:
* Master's Degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

Languages:
* Fluent in English (written and spoken), French and German are a plus.
