Job Description
You join our Sophis Equity & GSF team within the IT department Global Markets & Risks, which is looking for a business analyst, for a alternation of 1 year from September 2026 in order to improve our operational efficiency.
In a constantly evolving operational environment, it is crucial to conduct a functional analysis of business tools to ensure the performance and efficiency of teams. This project aims to evaluate and improve the use of tools within the GSF Squad while ensuring that the processes are compliant and relevant.
In collaboration with your tutor, your main tasks will be:
* Identify and analyze currently used tools, such as Booster, Sophis, Equilend, and others, focusing on their features related to SBL (Stock Borrow Loan) products and commissions.
* Analyze the processes related to SBL products, such as commission or invoicing calculations (remuneration of collateral), in order to assess the adequacy between operational needs and the functionalities of existing tools.
* Identify the functional friction points encountered by business teams, such as data discrepancies, re-entries, manual controls and processing times.
* Define relevant KPIs (key performance indicators) to measure the effectiveness of SBL processes, as well as identified bottlenecks in the workflow.
* Establish a regular monitoring methodology to analyze these KPIs and derive insights.
* Based on the results obtained through the analysis of KPIs, formulate concrete recommendations and solutions aimed at optimizing existing tools and processes.
* Collaborate with the concerned teams to prioritize the actions necessary for the implementation of these improvements and ensure their effective adoption.
* Contribute to the harmonization of functional practices between different tools (Sophis, Equilend, Booster, etc.) to ensure data and process consistency.
* Participate in the development of specifications and optimization of the reconciliation tool between Sophis and Equilend, specifically focusing on the management of commissions associated with Stock Borrow Loan (SBL) products and their automatic integration via Booster, in order to ensure the accuracy and compliance of the processed data.
* Study the possibility of improving the module used for rebooking trades in the "Contract Inquiry" tab. Currently, the recall and return features can be applied en masse, but not the split one. Propose a solution to apply the bulk split feature in order to optimize the rebooking process, which is time-consuming in case of booking errors.
* Define SLAs for key applications, ensuring proper management of expectations and effective monitoring of operational performance.
* Create diagrams illustrating the workflows within the applications of the Squad GSF, with the aim of optimizing the understanding of the processes and identifying opportunities for improvement.
