In this role, you will act as the Subject Matter Expert for NI LabVIEW and TestStand, supporting the development, maintenance, and optimization of test and verification systems. You will play a key role in ensuring robust, scalable, and efficient test solutions across the product lifecycle of patient monitors and their accessories.
You will be part of a local Hospital Patient Monitoring (HPM) Verification team in Varginha, MG, collaborating closely with the global Hardware Test Engineering organization across Germany, the U.S., Brazil, and China.
You will work closely with Verification, Test Development, and R&D teams to design new solutions and continuously improve existing systems.
Your Role:
* Design, develop, and maintain test software solutions using NI LabVIEW and TestStand
* Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing test and verification tools to improve reliability and performance
* Support verification teams in resolving test system issues and minimizing downtime
* Collaborate with R&D and Test Development to define and implement Design for Test (DFT) strategies
* Develop and integrate test sequences, automation frameworks, and hardware interfaces
* Ensure test systems comply with medical device regulations and quality standards (e.g., validation and documentation)
You're the right fit if:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field
* Advanced English communication skills (speaking & writing)
* Strong hands-on experience with NI LabVIEW and TestStand (must-have)
* Proven experience in developing and maintaining automated test systems
* Solid debugging and problem-solving skills in complex test environments
* Experience working with hardware-software integration (instrumentation, data acquisition, communication protocols)
* Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (R&D, Test Development, Production)
*
Availability for international travel.
Nice to Have:
* Experience in medical device development or regulated environments (e.g., FDA QSR, cGMP, ISO13485)
* Knowledge of test system architecture and scalability concepts
* Familiarity with data analysis, test reporting, and continuous improvement methodologies
