Vestas Global Procurement oversees all strategic purchasing activities across the company, including negotiations, contract management, cost-reduction initiatives, coordination of cross-functional teams, strategy development, and supplier relationship management.
The position as a maternity cover Commodity Lead for Castings in Nacelle will give you a great opportunity to develop your procurement profile and join a team of experienced strategic purchasers, commodity leads and specialists. The position is in Aarhus, Denmark, where you are surrounded by engaged and professional colleagues. You will also work closely with colleagues in Porto, Tianjin, and Chennai.
Responsibilities
As Commodity Lead for Castings, you will be responsible for the global commodity strategy and negotiation to ensure the most optimal procurement setup for low-voltage cables. You will be responsible for managing the procurement-related activities in the cross-functional sub-module team and secure alignment with relevant stakeholders in relation to e.g., new product introduction, costing, and supplier risk and performance management.
Furthermore, your responsibility will also cover below areas:
* Supplier selection, qualification, negotiation and contracting
* Supplier relationship management, including supplier account plans, and performance management and Supplier consolidation to ensure supply chain optimization based on total landed cost
* Strategy and roadmap development with your commodity members
* Procurement lead on cross functional projects and cost out initiatives
* Procurement deliverables in new product introduction
* Contract management of NDAs, Purchase Agreements, Price Agreements, etc.
* Full understanding of Commodity and Module KPI governance and active engagement in performance improvement to meet performance goals
Qualifications
There are many ways into this position, but we prefer a degree in a relevant area, such as Supply Chain Management or Engineering and some years of relevant experience in Strategic Purchasing. As a Commodity Lead, you are expected to lead by example and encourage the organization to rethink how we work.
* Good communication skills including fluent in English (both orally and in writing)
* Demonstrated solid stakeholder management skills including experience with communication. experience with communication. As the category has high attention among senior management, advanced stakeholder management skills are required
* Advanced skills within PPT, Excel, and Word
* We prefer SAP Experience, but it is not a requirement
* Experience with casted components is an advantage
