We are looking for you,

Manager, GL

to our General Ledger team in the Global Financial Services (GFS) team in Espoo Finland. The GFS consists of 60+ finance professionals based in Espoo, Finland. We are responsible for managing finance operations globally to Neste companies across Renewable and Oil Product BAs. In Global Financial Services, we work together to create an environment where everyone can and want to do their best.

In your role, you will lead the General Ledger team with your co-colleague. General Ledger teams are accountable for timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual IFRS and local statutory reporting globally to Neste subsidiaries. In our team, you will be responsible for the team's performance, leading and coaching the team towards common goals.

You are a member of the GFS Management Team and you report to the Head of Global Financial Services. In your position you will work closely with Global Financial Services' teams, group consolidation, group tax, regional finance managers, business finance, business representatives and both internal and external auditors. Your role in our team

* Leading the team in accordance to Neste's leading model and principles and creating an open communication culture

* Promoting and developing standardized ways of working and common goals aligned with Neste Group's strategy

* Managing team's assignments, workload, coaching, overall performance and feedback

* Managing The closing cycle to group's parent entity

* Supporting and managing the team in operational work as subject-matter expert (SME), i.e. in prioritization, problem solving, and decision making

* Driving automation and digitalization solutions to work efficiency

* Being member of GFS Management team and actively collaborating with GFS peers towards common way of workings across all teams

The best combination to succeed in this role

* Applicable education, e.g. Master's degree in finance or business administration or in similar relevant field

* Previous experience in leading people as a line manager or leading virtual / project teams

* Expertise in IFRS, GAAP accounting principles and concept, General Ledger and and financial accounting

* Knowledge and experience of SAP ERP, accounting and finance processes

* Courage to drive change - question, develop and suggest improved ways of working and grow competency in a team

* Excellent communication, presentation and collaboration skills, virtually and in person

* Fluency in written and spoken English and Finnish
