Your role
As Application Technologist (m/f/d), you will work in a highly creative and innovative role supporting the growth of our dynamic cosmetic ingredients portfolio.
Your role involves:
* Coordination of formulation projects and new product developments in close collaboration with product managers, ensuring delivery within agreed timelines and budgets.
* Development of new cosmetic formulations to support marketing activities, customer applications, and product launches.
* Design, execution, and evaluation of formulation and stability studies, including troubleshooting and assessment of multifunctional ingredients.
* Setup, monitoring, and evaluation of stability and physico-chemical tests (e.g. pH, color, viscosity), with clear documentation in structured study reports.
* Proactive contribution of creative ideas and practical solutions aligned with business needs and project priorities.
* Monitoring of cosmetic formulation trends and market developments using tools such as the Mintel database.
* Coordination of preservation efficacy tests and close collaboration with microbiology laboratories and other internal or external labs to support customers.
* Support of smooth laboratory operations, including raw material sourcing, lab supply management, and equipment control and maintenance.
About you
* Degree in chemistry, cosmetic science, or technology of cosmetics, or a comparable scientific background.
* Ideally around 2 years of experience in cosmetic formulation or a related laboratory-based role.
* Hands-on experience in formulating Personal Care products and evaluating stability and performance data.
* Confidence in using laboratory equipment for physico-chemical measurements and in preparing technical documentation and reports.
* Solid knowledge of safety, hygiene, ISO requirements, and best practices in a chemical laboratory environment.
* Comfortable handling common IT tools such as MS Office, SAP, and DoE tools.
* Autonomous, curious, and creative mindset with the ability to work effectively in an international environment.
* Fluent English skills (written and spoken); German language skills are a plus.
