Research Associate (all genders) - Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry

Are you ready to join our high-caliber Omics Research Team within Translational Sciences of the RED CVRI Cluster as a Research Assistant (all genders) specializing in Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry? In this pivotal role, you will leverage state-of-the-art research equipment, methodologies, and materials to discover and validate new biomarkers, making a significant contribution to the molecular understanding of diseases.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* You receive, sort, and register samples in compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Good Research Practice (GRP)

* Preparing biofluids and tissue samples for LC-MS analysis is part of your daily work

* You develop and execute methods for sample analysis using both targeted and untargeted LC-MS acquisition techniques

* Adhering to and enhancing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), HSE protocols, and internal working procedures is second nature to you

* You review data and prepare reports in accordance with templates and SOPs

* Coordinating maintenance and repairs of laboratory equipment with service technicians falls within your responsibilities

* You calibrate laboratory instruments to ensure optimal performance

* Maintaining an accurate inventory of instruments and samples is part of your role

* You actively engage in process improvement initiatives

* Ensuring a clean and organized workplace is a matter of course for you

* You contribute to the creation and review of task-related documentation and processes

WHO YOU ARE

* A degree in chemical, biological, or a related field is an advantage

* You bring at least initial experience in LC and MS analysis

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software is part of your skill set

* Highly motivated and results-oriented, you work independently and collaboratively to achieve goals

* Strong attention to detail and accuracy define your work

* Your excellent organizational skills enable you to prioritize tasks effectively

* You are adaptable and eager to learn new techniques and procedures

* Capable of communicating complex ideas clearly and concisely

* You possess strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities

* Proficiency in German is required; English language skills are an advantage
