About the Role
This role is a software engineering role focussed towards automation testing and quality engineering. You will be part of a software development pod and your focus will be to ensure quality of the code delivery.
The responsibilities including writing automation test cases, writing in-sprint unit test case code, understand the regression test case/suite and contributing to it etc. Learn and understand the testing frameworks and adapt to newer testing frameworks and tools for front end / UI code validation tests and backend / bff / API code validation tests.
Job Description Summary
* Overview
o Analyse code review reports and development quality to make sure best practices are being followed
o Develops/monitors quality gating and automation strategy for a given project looking at code coverage and API vs UI level functionality
o Possesses a strong knowledge of programming, tools, architecture patterns and BDD
o Ensures Performance and Scalability for applications and platforms
Role & Responsibilities
o Works closely with software engineers to build quality by ensuring proper test and code coverage, configuration quality, monitoring, early performance testing
o Develops frameworks and configurations; reviews analysis to ensure adherence to quality standards
o Supports quality/test strategy creation, testing, and automation
o Develops and executes test plans for a single application; independently generates test data and recognizes test environment preparation needs
o Participates in project-level reviews, walkthroughs and inspections; conducts test reviews for plans, requirements, cases, and automation
o Raises process improvement opportunities, defines and implements simple automation efforts, and documents automated testing solutions
o Designs and codes test automation solutions for user journeys with Test and Development team
o Oversees and provides technical support to junior team members
o May manage smaller project/initiatives as an experienced individual contribute with specialized knowledge within assigned discipline
o Assists in the evaluation of manual testing tools for automation opportunities

o Engineering graduate or Science Graduate
o Internship/brief experience working in professional environment
o Understanding of engineering principals and coding standards
o Understanding of quality engineering processes in software development, and automation frameworks
o Awareness about agile testing methodologies and tools, unit and integration testing, and data virtualization tools
