About this Position
As a Process Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our reactive chemical processes. You'll develop deep technical expertise, support scale-up and new product introduction, and lead improvements that enhance yield, quality, and process performance.
What you´ll do
* Develop deep expertise in the site's reactive chemical processes, associated equipment, and supporting systems.
* Ensure safe operation of all processes, proactively identifying and resolving technical or operational issues.
* Optimize processes to achieve consistent quality, performance, and improved yields, while maintaining safety and regulatory standards.
* Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on increasing yield, reducing waste, and enhancing process efficiency.
* Collaborate with R&D teams to support product transfers, trials, and scale-ups from lab to production scale.
* Identify opportunities for process improvement, develop proposals and concepts, and work with the engineering team to implement solutions.
* Commission and embed new processes and equipment, ensuring smooth handover into routine operations.
* Support and act as the key technical stakeholder in risk assessments, process hazard analyses, and safety reviews, ensuring these are fully completed before implementing any process changes or new projects.
* Provide technical training and guidance to operators and support staff to ensure knowledge transfer and safe practices.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
* Support troubleshooting activities and root cause investigations in response to quality, safety, or production deviations.
What makes you a good fit
* Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline (required).
* Experience in reactive chemical processing, including handling of flammable solvents at scale (highly desirable).
* Knowledge of process safety standards (e.g., HAZOP, PHA, ATEX,etc.).
* Experience working with cross-functional teams including R&D, quality, and engineering.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
