Your Impact
As an Account Executive Portfolio for Public Sector clients, you will be the Cisco representative, aiming to manage customer relationship and to promote Cisco value proposition, enhancing business opportunities within the Center/South of Italy. You will engage directly with C-level Executives, orchestrating the extended team capabilities, including solutions engineering, architectural specialists, services specialists, legal and finance, to promote customer digital transformation, translating actions in sales pipeline and related accurate revenue forecasting. Developing the right strategy will be instrumental to overall success.
Responsibilities
* Manage a defined portfolio of Italian Public Sector accounts (local authorities, healthcare, education, or agencies), supporting account growth and retention.
* Own and progress moderately complex sales opportunities end-to-end, from prospecting and qualification through proposal and deal closure with visibility and control.
* Develop a solid understanding of customer missions, digital transformation priorities, and funding models to position Cisco solutions effectively.
* Build and maintain trusted relationships with mid-to-senior public sector customers, acting as a primary commercial point of contact.
* Support and respond to public tenders, framework agreements, and RFP/RFQ processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and internal alignment.
* Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and customer data in CRM tools, contributing to reliable weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecasts.
* Apply competitive and market insights to position Cisco's value proposition in public sector sales conversations.
Minimum Qualifications
* BA degree or equivalent expertise in IT business.
* Demonstrated experience of the Italian ICT market.
* Good understanding of networking, and digital solutions.
* Ability to multitask and effectively collaborate with internal and external partners
* Strong business sense and comfort working at all organizational levels.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in working in large matrix organization like Cisco leading extended teams.
* Previous experience - at least 2 years - in Sales
* Understanding of indirect sale motion including Italian ICT partners ecosystem
* Impactful communicator with high level of English proficiency is highly preferred
* A growth mindset - always eager to learn, adapt, and level up
