Job Description:
We are a cutting-edge team developing powertrain applications for alternative fuels and innovative sustainable mobility solutions. To strengthen our department dedicated to natural gas engines, we are looking for a Sub Project Manager who is ready to take on complex project management challenges, working closely with international clients and calibration teams.
What you will do
You will join the Powertrain development team, contributing directly to the transition to the new 28nm control unit and to the operational management of the project. Your main responsibilities will include:
* Project management, coordinating activities related to the transition to the new control unit.
* Coordination of the calibration team on key functional packages (EPM, Knock, UEGO, HEGO, ASMOD).
* Hands-on calibration of input/output and troubleshooting activities on test bench and vehicle.
* Operational support on engines and vehicles under development.
* Experimental activities on engine test benches and in test vehicles.
* Fleet data management and analysis for continuous improvement.
* Direct interface with the customer for handling technical and project-related issues.
Qualifications:
Who we are looking for
A professional with experience in the automotive/powertrain sector, results-oriented and capable of managing both technical and coordination aspects. Specifically, we are looking for:
* Degree in Mechanical, Energy, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent.
* Experience in engine calibration and knowledge of ECU systems.
* Project management and team coordination skills.
* Hands-on attitude: willingness to work on test benches and in test vehicles.
* Strong interpersonal skills to interact directly with clients.
* Willingness to travel (approx. 20% to customer sites in Foggia, Ulm (Germany), and Arbon (Switzerland)).
* Knowledge of alternative applications (hydrogen, ethanol) is a plus.
