The opportunity

This is the role where delivery either comes together - or doesn't.

You will lead the Risk Technology delivery portfolio end-to-end, bringing structure, control, and momentum across a landscape of complex, high-stakes programmes. From onboarding and ODD to transaction monitoring and regulatory delivery, you ensure the portfolio is not just active - but performing.

Where others see a collection of projects, you see a system:
priorities, dependencies, risks, and outcomes.

You step in when delivery starts to fragment - when too many initiatives compete for attention, when ownership becomes unclear, and when progress turns into reporting instead of results.

You bring clarity. You enforce discipline. You make delivery happen.

Day-to-day responsibilities

Own the Risk delivery portfolio
* Lead the full portfolio across Risk Technology initiatives: CDD, onboarding, ODD remediation, transaction monitoring, and regulatory programmes
* Ensure alignment between business priorities, regulatory commitments, and technology delivery
* Maintain a clear, consolidated view of status, risks, dependencies, and outcomes
Drive execution and delivery discipline
* Shift focus from activity tracking to milestone-based, outcome-driven delivery
* Ensure every initiative has clear ownership, defined milestones, and measurable outputs
* Intervene when delivery drifts - and reset teams toward execution
Bring structure across programmes
* Translate a fragmented delivery landscape into a coherent, prioritised roadmap
* Define and enforce a Now / Next / Later view across the portfolio
* Ensure there is a single source of truth on what is being delivered, when, and why
Manage cross-programme dependencies
* Identify and actively manage dependencies across platforms (e.g., Fenergo, TM, onboarding journeys)
* Surface conflicts early and drive trade-off decisions
* Ensure sequencing decisions maximise delivery impact and minimise rework
Raise and resolve risks early
* Proactively identify delivery risks, bottlenecks, and capacity constraints
* Escalate with clarity - always with a proposed resolution
* Ensure risks are managed as execution topics, not just reported
Lead high-impact governance and forums
* Run portfolio-level governance with a focus on decisions and accountability
* Ensure meetings produce outcomes: decisions, owners, and deadlines
* Eliminate noise, repetition, and passive status reporting
Own the narrative upward
* Translate portfolio complexity into clear, executive-level insights
* Provide concise updates focused on what matters: progress, risks, and decisions needed
* Support ExCo-level reporting with structured, outcome-driven messaging

Who are we looking for

A portfolio leader, not a status aggregator
* You have led complex delivery portfolios, not just individual projects
* You know how to turn multiple moving parts into a coherent delivery system
Strong delivery and governance mindset
* You bring discipline: clear milestones, ownership, tracking, escalation
* You are comfortable stepping in to reset structure and expectations
Deep understanding of risk and regulatory delivery
* Experience in risk, compliance, or regulated environments
* You understand the pressure of regulatory deadlines and audit expectations
Execution-first mentality
* You prioritise outcomes over activity
* You challenge delays, push through blockers, and don't accept "in progress" as a result
Clarity and influence
* You simplify complexity into clear decisions and actions
* You can challenge senior stakeholders and drive alignment across functions
Comfort in ambiguity
* You operate effectively where ownership is unclear and structure is evolving
* You create clarity where it does not yet exist
Presence and leadership
* You bring authority and calm into complex discussions
* You raise the bar on accountability, preparation, and delivery standards
* You leave every meeting with a plan - not questions
