Junior Safety Engineer

We are now looking for recent graduates to join Thales Portugal in our team a Junior Safety Engineer. You will collaborate with the Safety Manager and engineering teams to support safety analyses for complex and safety-critical systems.

Responsibilities:
* Support the development and implementation of Safety Assurance activities across different projects;
* Assist in defining safety requirements, safety plans and contributing to the Safety Programme Plan (SPP);
* Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure system and software activities comply with applicable safety standards;
* Participate in safety analyses and contribute to System Safety Assessments;
* Support the preparation of safety deliverables such as Safety Cases and System Safety Assessment Reports (SSAR);
* Help identify, track and communicate risks, including residual risks and operational constraints.

Requirements:
* Degree in Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Software, Systems, Aerospace or similar);
* Basic understanding of system engineering or safety engineering concepts;
* Interest in safety-critical systems and defence environments;
* Good analytical and problem-solving skills;
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities;
* Written and Oral proficiency in English.
