Job Description:
This is a role within the Castrol organisation and the successful candidate will become part of the Castrol ring-fence. If you are part of the ring-fence, it is expected that your employment will move with Castrol to new ownership. This is a fixed term role and is available for remote working, with some time spent in the office as required.
The TSA Readiness Infrastructure Lead is responsible for ensuring the preparation work for core digital infrastructure services are operational, stable and secure and ready to support the business on day 1 to ensure business continuity.
The role will act as the end -to end technical owner and provide Castrol's input for hosting, network, integration, WAN/LAN, workplace and end- user service continuity discussions. In addition, the role will validate E2E processes, interfaces and environment readiness, ensuring stability, security, compliance, and business continuity for Day-1 and TSA exit/execution.
What you will do...
Infrastructure Readiness
* Lead end-to-end infrastructure workstreams across hosting, network, identity, integration, and workforce technologies to meet TSA obligations and day-1 readiness criteria.
* Own the technical readiness plan for all infrastructure components, ensuring alignment to the separation blueprint and day-1 operating model, in addition to overseeing the discovery, design, migration, cutover, and service stand-up activities.
Hosting and Network Services
* Ensure readiness of all data centre, cloud hosting, and network services (LAN/WAN/Wi Fi, firewalls, VPN, connectivity) as well as plan and support the coordination and implementation of new or segregated environments e.g. Azure.
* Identify and validate models, user provisioning, security controls, and network dependencies.
Identity and Access Management (IAM)
* Input into the separation and stand up of IAM services provisioning, role models, access policies, and identity governance.
Microsoft 365 and End User Services
* Ensure all M365 services-including user identity, Exchange Online (if applicable), Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and security/compliance features-are prepared for TSA or post TSA operation.
* Plan and input into the coordination and migration of data (files, sites, user profiles), tenant readiness, licensing, and service configuration.
* Scope workforce technologies including endpoint management, device readiness, collaboration tools, and digital workplace services.
Integration
* Ensure readiness of integration services and middleware platforms, including any APIs, messaging, or service interconnects needed for Day 1 continuity.
* Validate and manage dependencies between systems that span organisations or infrastructure stacks.
Risk, Compliance and Security
* Validate infrastructure compliance with security, privacy, regulatory, and contractual TSA obligations.
* Identify and raise risks and mitigation plans across all infrastructure domains.
Relationship and Vendor Management
* Engage multi-functional teams including architects, engineers, cyber security, service management, business collaborators, and liaise with third-party vendors.
* Communicate progress, risks, and issues effectively to a senior level.
* Accountable for technical decisions relating to infrastructure readiness for TSA and Day 1.
* Decision authority on prioritisation of infrastructure activities required to meet TSA timelines.
* Provide recommendations on design choices, service cutover approaches, and risk acceptance.
What you will bring...
* Deep experience in infrastructure, cloud, network, or identity architecture roles within complex enterprises.
* Strong expertise in Azure cloud, hybrid hosting, network architecture, IAM (Azure AD/Entra ID), and M365.
* Experience delivering major separation, merger, TSA readiness, or large-scale migration programmes.
* Hands-on experience using enterprise architecture tools and frameworks (e.g. capability models).
* Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary, multi-cultural technical teams.
* Delivery-focused leader with strong planning, organisational and execution capability; able to navigate complex and ambiguous organisational environments at pace, including under pressure.
* Significant experience designing and executing infrastructure strategies in global, multi-site environments.
* Commercially minded and pragmatic with the ability to operate effectively across strategy and operational contexts.
* Strong problem-solving, analytical, and conceptual design skills.
* Clear and effective communicator with excellent written and spoken English. You will engage both technical and non-technical audiences, bringing gravitas and credibly to influence and support change at a senior level.
* Proven capability in vendor management, negotiation, and contract oversight.
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience); relevant certifications (e.g. Azure, Networking, Enterprise Architecture, Identity, M365) are desirable.
