At Siemens Foundatiol Technologies, we are responsible for the development, verification, and maintenance of the SIMATIC ET 200 Fail-safe IO product family, designed for safety-related applications in accordance with IEC 62061 (up to SIL 3) and EN ISO 13849-1 (up to PL e).
Development is carried out under a well-defined and audited safety lifecycle compliant with IEC 61508, supervised by an independent external assessor (TÜV). We work in close cooperation with colleagues in Germany and Austria on robust hardware platforms featuring redundant ARM-based microcontrollers, with firmware developed in C/C++ and thoroughly validated through automated integration and system testing
