About the Job
As Data Center and Cloud Engineer (m/f/d), you would be part of a global team providing ABS Infrastructure as a service to Allianz Customers across the globe. This team is responsible for providing a reliable and secure service with incremental updates to customers in a timely manner.
All aspects related to the platform provided example, Availability, Disaster Recovery, Vulnerability management, Architecture & Documentation, Service Provisioning and Incident Handling will be managed by the team.

What you do
* Utilize your advanced knowledge of Linux (Redhat, Satellite, Sysconf, Purescale) to manage and optimize our server environments and leverage your advanced VMWare skills, including SRIOV, to enhance virtualization capabilities.
* Basic experience using GPFS Purescale and understanding of managing advanced Commvault backup solutions to ensure data protection and recovery.
* Apply your network skills, particularly IPv4 and RoCE, to maintain and improve network performance with optional involvement in cloud architecture and deployment, contributing to our cloud strategy.
* Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools using languages like Ansible, Groovy, PHP, SQL and HTML to streamline operations.
* Utilize tools like Dynatrace, Grafana, Service Now, JIRA/Confluence, and Github for system monitoring, performance analysis, and collaboration
* Embrace DevOps methodologies to enhance collaboration and efficiency across teams and conduct error and performance analyses, defining measures to improve system reliability and efficiency.
* Be prepared to work on weekends as needed to support critical operations and projects and work effectively within a team, demonstrating strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

What you bring
* Higher education degree in IT or comparable technical education with experience in IT management, IT security tools, and an Agile mindset, combined with advanced/senior Linux knowledge (Redhat, Satellite, Sysconf) and advanced VMware knowledge (SRIOV - mandatory).
* Intermediate knowledge of storage architecture, specifically GPFS Purescale (optional), and strong network skills, including IPv4 (mandatory) and RoCE (preferred).
* Proficiency in programming languages such as Ansible (mandatory) and Groovy (mandatory), with additional knowledge of PHP, SQL, and HTML being optional, along with familiarity with cloud knowledge and DevOps practices.
* Advanced knowledge of Commvault Backup, with optional involvement in cloud architecture and deployment, and experience with tools such as Dynatrace, Jenkins, Grafana, ServiceNow, JIRA/Confluence, and GitHub.
* Willingness to work on weekends and demonstrate customer centricity, self-organization, team collaboration, trustful communication, honesty, and a team-player attitude.
* Fluent English (mandatory) with German fluency preferred, ensuring effective communication in a global and multicultural environment.
* Strong focus on delivering high-quality IT solutions, leveraging technical expertise, cloud knowledge, and DevOps practices to meet organizational and customer needs.
