Software Engineer - Java

We are currently seeking a Software Engineer (Java) to take responsibility for designing, developing, and maintaining products that support Sage's business plans and long-term objectives, using the identified architecture.

As a Software Engineer (Java) at Sage, you will work closely with product teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-quality software solutions, help shape the technical direction of our products, and design, develop, and deliver products, systems, and services that exceed the expectations of customers and business partners.

*** Please note that this role is hybrid and will require you to work 3 days a week from our Barcelona office. ***
* Develop, deliver, and maintain high-quality software, including requirements, design, code, and documentation.
* Contribute to quality activities, including peer reviews of estimates, designs, and code.
* Resolve defects and bugs during QA testing, pre-production, production, and post-release patches.
* Work cross-functionally with various Sage teams, including product management, QA/XD, product lines, and business units, to drive results.
* Ensure code and architecture meet high standards for quality, performance, security, scalability, and maintainability, following best practices.
* Manage the full software development lifecycle, from gathering requirements and designing solutions to testing and deployment.

Requirements
* Extensive hands-on experience in Java development.
* Proven success in building and delivering complex web applications and services.
* Strong expertise in software design, coding, and problem-solving, with a solid understanding of data structures.
* Knowledge of modern development practices, including CI/CD, Agile, and DevOps.
* Experience developing AI-driven solutions and working in a SaaS environment is beneficial.
