Automation Engineer

We're looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join a large-scale, complex software project. The ideal candidate is analytical, highly self-driven, and capable of quickly understanding an existing system to design and implement a strong automation strategy.

This is a hybrid role - three days per week in our Barcelona office.
What you'll do:

* Quickly research and understand the existing system and QA landscape.
* Define and implement a scalable test automation strategy.
* Design, establish, and maintain a test automation framework.
* Automate regression and ongoing sprint test cases.
* Maintain and improve existing automated tests.
* Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines.
* Mentor and support other QA engineers in automation practices.

Requirements:

* Extensive experience in QA, including test automation.
* Strong understanding of automation frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, etc.).
* Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, JS/TS, or C#).
* Hands-on experience with Git, API testing, CI/CD, and test management tools.
* Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and ability to work independently and lead by example.
* Fluency in English and Spanish

Nice to Have:

* Experience with Docker/Kubernetes.
* Knowledge of performance and/or security testing.
* ISTQB certification or equivalent.
