We are now looking for a Industrial Application Manager to join our Operations Europe team. The incumbent will be responsible for:
The Industrial Application Manager drives the identification, development, scale-up, and industrial implementation of processing technologies and technical solutions across assigned categories (e.g., Broths, Soups & Stews, Noodles). Acting as a critical interface between Engineering, Operations, R&D, and the Technology Transformation Team, the role translates category and platform strategies into robust, scalable, and cost-effective industrial solutions, while accelerating innovation, ensuring compliance, and strengthening long-term manufacturing capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Technology & Process Transformation
* Lead industrial application and deployment of new or enhanced processing technologies, from early feasibility and proof of concept through industrial validation and scaling.
* Support Engineering teams in the design of new facilities or the adaptation of existing production lines to meet evolving category and technology requirements.
* Scout, evaluate, and assess emerging industrial, processing, and manufacturing technologies, ensuring technical feasibility, scalability, sustainability benefits, and business relevance.
Industrial Validation & Scale-Up
* Plan and execute proofs of concept, pilot trials, and industrial tests to evaluate technical performance, robustness, and cost effectiveness at early and advanced development stages.
* Define process specifications, equipment requirements, and sizing assumptions to support early investment decisions and industrial concepts.
* Ensure smooth technology transfer into factories, supporting commissioning and ramp-up.
Cost, Performance & Optimization
* Analyze and quantify cost impacts, efficiency gains, yield improvements, and capacity effects derived from new technologies and process changes.
* Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, process simplification, resource efficiency, and performance stability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Act as a technical integrator between Technology Transformation, Engineering, R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and Operations teams across factories.
* Translate business, regulatory, quality, and nutritional requirements into clear and executable industrial and technical solutions.
* Support project governance by aligning quality, cost, timing, and risk management objectives.
External Partnerships & Knowledge Management
* Manage relationships with equipment suppliers, technology providers, and external partners, including technical alignment, trials, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
* Build and maintain technology knowledge bases, standards, and best practices, contributing to platform roadmaps and cross-regional capability building.

Requisitos

Competencias / Competencies:
* Industrial & Food Technology Expertise: Strong background in food processing, industrial engineering, biotechnology, chemistry, or related fields.
* Project Management Rigor: Ability to structure, plan, and execute complex transformation projects with discipline and clarity.
* Analytical & Economic Mindset: Skilled in evaluating costs, investments, and value creation opportunities linked to industrial technologies.
* Cross-Functional Leadership & Communication: Proven ability to work across disciplines and influence multiple stakeholders effectively.
* Innovation & Continuous Improvement Orientation: Curiosity and drive to identify, test, and implement futureready industrial solutions.
* Adaptability & Learning Agility; Flexibility to operate in a changing environment, learn quickly, and adjust approaches as technologies, regulations, or business priorities evolve.
Requirements:
* University degree in Industrial Engineering, Food Engineering, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or equivalent technical discipline.
* Solid experience in industrial application, process engineering, or technology transfer roles, preferably within the food or FMCG industry.
*
* Demonstrated experience working with manufacturing sites and external technology suppliers.
* Fluent English (mandatory) / Spanish desirable / Additional European languages (Italian, German, French, Dutch) are an advantage.
Additional Information
Travel requirement: approximately 25% within Europe, mainly to manufacturing sites and technology partners
