Key responsibilities in your new role

* Ion Trap Development: Contribute to the Development and Advancements of Ion Traps
* Trap Chip Engineering: Perform Fabrication, Characterization, or Simulation of Trap Chips with Advanced Features
* Photonic Component Development: Engage in the Fabrication, Characterization, or Simulation of Photonic ComponentsThis thesis has to be written in cooperation with an university.

Type of employment: Temporary / Part-time (flexible working hours from Monday to Friday between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m.)
Duration: min. 6 months

Your Profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

* Education: Pursuing a Master's degree in Physics, Quantum Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, or a related field
* Language Skills: Fluent in English at C1 level, German language skills are a plus
* Motivation: Strong enthusiasm and dedication to contributing towards making Quantum Computing a reality
* Communication Skills: Excellent ability to convey ideas and collaborate effectively in an interdisciplinary environmentThis position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry (full-time), employment group D for master students (https://www.feei.at/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/minimum-salaries-white-collar-workers-2026-05-01.pdf).
