Our Assurance group is one of the most trusted, respected, and influential organizations in the industry. As part of our team, you will provide peace of mind to clients by using your skills and experience to give companies, investors, and regulators confidence in the validity of financial statements and business-critical information or processes. Groups (or, as we call them, sub-service lines) within Assurance include External Audit, Climate Change and Sustainability Services, Financial Accounting Advisory Services and Fraud Investigation & Dispute Services.

This job posting relates to an existing vacancy within our organization.

Your key responsibilities

Key responsibilities as a co-op in our Enterprise group are to perform notice to reader and review engagements. This would include the preparation of corporate tax returns, personal tax returns and financial statements. Students are to apply bookkeeping and accounting knowledge learned in university to each task at hand. After training, we expect our full-time to clearly and accurately document the execution of specific review procedures as defined by the engagement objectives, client's engagement history, and planned review approach.

As we are client facing, we expect our co-ops to demonstrate professionalism and competence in the client's environment. To be responsive to client requests, and to develop/maintain productive working relationships with client personnel. Employees should continue to learn and be informed of current business/economic developments relevant to the client's business and collaborate with team members to set goals and responsibilities for the workdays.

* Be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in business and/or accounting

* CPA eligibility is not required, but still supported

* We are currently accepting internship or co-op applications for our Assurance - External Audit group for January 2027.

EY reports salary ranges in accordance with applicable provincial pay transparency legislation. Individual salaries within the anticipated salary ranges noted below are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, education, relevant experience, knowledge, and applicable skill sets.
* Toronto: $59,000 to $68,000
