Creative Writing Internship

Are you a wordsmith in the making? Do you want to try your hand at different kinds of writing? TomTom's in-house creative agency is looking for someone willing to learn every form of writing - from snappy headlines to detailed blogpost, from interesting ideas for social to scripts that work for the brand.

We are a small but experienced team. We make use of all kinds of tools to make us effective, including AI; but we know that while it might make our job look easier, bringing words to life with meaning and context takes a lot of work. ​The creative writing intern will work directly with a team of writers that are part of TomTom's in-house creative agency.

What you'll do

* Working on writing projects that span events, communications, web to long form video and articles.
* Support the writing team with the storytelling projects for brand and various market segments.
* Ideation and creative problem solving is a plus.
* Contribute to marketing campaigns that further the company's strategic goals.
* Contribute fresh ideas that can enhance the brand.
* Work in collaboration with the broader creative agency as well as web, comms and digital teams.

What you'll need

* Have an interest in writing and marketing
* Near-perfect English and strong command over written English
* A collaborative attitude, curiosity, fast-learning, and resourceful
* An interest in tech and passion for web.
* Enrollment in a relevant program (e.g. marketing, media, advertising, communication, journalism)
* EU citizenship or enrollment in a Dutch university (to meet work permit regulations)

We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans.
