The R&D team in Middelburg is part of the Agilent Chemistries and Supplies Division focusing on consumables for gas chromatography (GC) and liquid chromatography (HPLC). We are seeking a student with an analytical chemistry background to support our projects in GC columns development.
The student, under the supervision of an experienced R&D chemist, will engage in hands-on experiments with the latest GC instruments and GC column technology and will be supporting research projects to develop new or improved GC columns.

Project Objectives (10 months):
During this internship, you will:
* Build a solid understanding of:
* Stationary phase synthesis
* GC column manufacturing
* Column testing and performance evaluation
* Develop and apply methodologies to evaluate GC column prototypes
* Generate and analyze experimental data to:
* Benchmark new phases against existing technologies
* Identify strengths, weaknesses, and limitations

This internship offers:

Qualifications

* You are studying for a BSc/MSc degree in Analytical Chemistry or a closely related field
* You have an interest in Gas Chromatography and separation science
* You are curious, hands-on and eager to learn and develop yourself
* You are able to work independently and in a team environment
* You have good communication skills
* You are fluent in English (must)
