Job summary

Join our EMEA syndicate team as an intern, where you will assist the desk in all administrative tasks from deal execution to bond settlement. This role is ideal for someone with a background in syndicate functions or Sales/Trading/DCM origination. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of analytical prowess and practical experience in financial markets, ensuring they can meet the demands of this dynamic role.

Responsibilties are but are not limited to:

* Involved in the Bookbuilding process, particularly in charge of the e-book and order reconciliations
* Execute hedging operations, mainly EGB and swaps, on behalf of Syndicate Managers
* Handle ticketing and P&L calculation
* Manage trade bookings in FO booking systems
* Maintain the EU Syndicate blotter up to date
* Reconcile EU Syndicate blotter and digital scorecard
* Follow up on back office requests regarding fee settlement
* Ensure all syndicate administrative tasks are completed for each deal, including fee booking, daily PnL reporting, and communication with the Middle Office

Candidate criteria

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

* Graduated within the past 18 months with a minimum of 2:1 or equivalent

Experience

* Experience in Syndicate function or Sales/Trading/DCM origination/Middle Office.

Required skills

* Team-oriented with excellent communication skills
* Ability to think quickly, make decisions using good judgement, and prioritise in busy trading situations
* Good knowledge of bonds and swaps markets

Technical skills required

* IT literate with strong numerical, analytical, and spreadsheet skills
