[IMDA Internship Programme 2027] Development of a telecommunications industry plan (January - June)

We are looking for interns to join the Digital Industry & Talent Group (DITG) for our January to June 2027 internship cycle.

Scope of Work
* Support the development of an industry plan for Singapore's telecommunications sector.
* Understand Singapore's industry structure and key players including the telecommunication providers, infrastructure / equipment vendors and related ecosystem partners.
* Research on emerging technological trends (5G/6G, Non-terrestrial Networks, Edge Computing, etc) and its impact on the sector.

Learning Outcomes
* Understanding of the future communications industry and emerging tech trends.
* Gain exposure to how technical trends translate into business and policy decisions.
* Develop applied industry analysis and strategic thinking skills.
* Acquire research synthesis, report writing and presentation skills.

Skills Required
* Basic understanding of technical concepts in communications networks (or willingness to learn quickly).
* Strong research, analytical, and written communication skills.
* Prior coursework or projects in strategy, economics, or computing or engineering is a plus.
