Job Description:
Responsibilities
* Enhance and validate control logic for hybrid AC/DC system operation
* Support system integration, signal mapping, interlocks, alarms, and fault logic
* Assist with sandbox testing, troubleshooting, and performance analysis
* Collect and analyse test data, document logic changes, test results, and technical findings

Requirements:
* Undergraduate student in Electrical Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Basic understanding of power systems, AC/DC conversion, control systems, and electrical protection.
* Familiarity with at least one of the following: Python, MATLAB/Simulink, C/C++, PLC programming, or automation/control software.
* Comfortable with hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and technical documentation.
* Good analytical thinking and willingness to work in a structured experimental environment.
* Exceptional problem-solving skills and, capable of taking ownership of tasks and delivering high-quality results with minimal supervision.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting and presenting complex concepts.

Expected Deliverables
* Updated or enhanced control logic documentation.
* Test plan and validation results for revised logic.
* Data analysis showing system behaviour before and after logic enhancement.
* Technical report and presentation summarising work completed, findings, and recommendations.
* Support for project demonstration and grant reporting where needed
