Job Description

💼 Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join Bosch for a fulfilling internship opportunity! This internship will provide valuable hands-on experience in a corporate environment, allowing you to contribute to ongoing projects while learning from experienced professionals. As an Intern, AI-based Controls for Sustainable HVACs, you will support experimental & data analytics (AI/ML) activities for the development of intelligent energy management solutions for Residential Air Conditioners (RAC) in collaboration with experienced team members.
🎯 What you will do (Key Responsibilities)
* Develop optimization and AI based algorithms for energy management using reinforcement learning.
* Ensure a smooth operation of RAC tests, data collection, analysis, and validation.
* Develop algorithms to minimize RAC energy cost and maximize user comfort.
* Use suitable reinforcement learning algorithm to develop a smarter decision maker for AC settings.
* Validate concepts in Robert Bosch SEA Corporate Research HVAC testbed/lab and using real data from thousands of field units.
* Execute and analyze experiment results with statistical tools to validate control performance

Qualifications

👤 What We're Looking For (Qualifications & Skills)
* Able to work full time for a period of 6 months (Jan 2026 till July 2026)
* Educational background in AI/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
* Experienced in statistical data analysis and ML/AI tools
* Basic understanding of thermodynamics, air conditioning operation
* Knowledge of sensors, data acquisition, processing, and visualization
