About the Role
The Security Governance & Compliance Intern will support the team in strengthening AIA's technology governance, risk management, and compliance practices. This role offers hands-on exposure to security governance processes, control monitoring, risk reporting, and audit support. It is ideal for students who are eager to learn about information security and develop practical experience in a real-world enterprise environment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Assist in preparing Key Risk Indicator (KRI) dashboards, metrics, and reporting materials.
* Support the automation and enhancement of continuous control monitoring activities.
* Assist in responding to business partner due diligence requests and evidence preparation.
* Support technology-related audit activities, including coordination, documentation collation, and follow-up actions.
* Contribute to various security governance, compliance, and risk management initiatives led by the team.
* Demonstrate strong willingness to learn and build foundational information security and IT audit knowledge.
* Apply problem-solving skills and propose innovative ideas to improve team processes or technical approaches.
* Collaborate effectively as a team player, showing initiative in improving existing governance practices.
Job Requirements:
* Basic understanding of information security, technology risk, or IT audit concepts (coursework is acceptable).
* Strong learning agility and willingness to explore new technical and governance domains.
* Adaptability and ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
* Good communication skills and attention to detail will be an advantage.
Learning Outcomes:
* Gain foundational knowledge in technology governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) and how these functions operate in a corporate environment.
* Hands-on experience with continuous control monitoring, audit preparation, and due diligence processes.
* Develop skills in data interpretation, reporting, and presenting security metrics.
