Your role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Analog Layout Engineer Intern to join our CS Ljubljana design team. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the physical layout of analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits (ICs) under the guidance of experienced engineers. The intern will support layout activities, learn industry-standard tools and methodologies, and contribute to real projects in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the development and implementation of analog and mixed-signal IC layouts following design specifications and process design rules.
* Learn and apply analog layout techniques such as device matching, common centroid, and guard rings.
* Participate in layout verification tasks including DRC (Design Rule Check) and LVS (Layout Versus Schematic) under supervision.
* Help perform parasitic extraction and support post-layout simulation activities.
* Gain familiarity with semiconductor fabrication processes and design for manufacturability principles.
* Engage in training sessions and design reviews to enhance technical knowledge.
Required Qualifications
* Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, or a related field.
* Basic understanding of analog and mixed-signal circuit design principles.
* Interest in semiconductor technology and IC design flow.
* Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
* Eagerness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.

Vaša vloga
V naši ekipi v Ljubljani iščemo motiviranega in vestnega pripravnika za načrtovanje geomerije (layout) analognih integriranih vezij. Praksa ponuja dragoceno priložnost za pridobitev praktičnih izkušenj iz področja načrtovanja analognih in mešanih analogno-digitalnih integriranih vezij, pod vodstvom izkušenih inženirjev. Pripravnik bo podpiral aktivnosti načrtovanje geomerije, se učil orodij in metodologij ter prispeval k resničnim projektom v sodelovalnem okolju.
Ključne odgovornosti
* Pomoč pri načrtovanju layouta analognih in mešanih analogno-digitalnih čipov v skladu s specifikacijami in omejitvami tehnološkega procesa.
* Učenje in uporaba tehnik analognega layouta, kot so na primer ujemanje elementov, skupni centroid in zaščitni obroči.
* Sodelovanje pri nalogah preverjanja layouta, vključno z DRC (preverjanje pravil oblikovanja) in LVS (primerjava layouta s shemo).
* Pomoč pri ekstrakciji parazitnih elementov in podpora simulacijam po layoutu.
* Seznanitev s procesi izdelave čipov in načeli za masovno proizvodnjo.
* Udeležba na izobraževalnih sestankih in pregledih načrtovnja za izboljšanje tehničnega znanja.
Zahtevane kvalifikacije
* Trenutno vpisan v dodiplomski ali magistrski študij elektrotehnike, elektronike ali sorodnega področja.
* Osnovno razumevanje načel načrtovanja analognih in analogno-digitalnih vezij.
* Zanimanje za polprevodniško tehnologijo in načrtovanje čipov.
* Dobre komunikacijske sposobnosti in sposobnost dela v ekipi.
* Volja do učenja in prilagajanja novim orodjem in tehnologijam.
