We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analytics Intern to join our AME Strategic Marketing team. This intern will play a crucial role in analyzing semiconductor marketshare data, aggregating information from various internal and external databases, and developing insightful reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in data analysis, a foundational understanding of database concepts, and a desire to learn about the dynamic semiconductor industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Data Collection & Integration: Assist in identifying, collecting, and integrating semiconductor market share data from diverse sources, including internal sales databases, external market research reports, and public datasets.
* Data Cleaning & Transformation: Support the cleaning, validation, and transformation of raw data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability for analysis.
* Database Aggregation: Work with existing database structures (e.g., SQL Server, Excel, CSVs) to aggregate and consolidate relevant marketshare information.
* Power BI Dashboard Development: Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Microsoft Power BI to visualize semiconductor market trends, competitive landscapes, and marketshare shifts.
* Data Analysis: Conduct preliminary data analysis to identify key trends, patterns, and anomalies within the semiconductor market.
* Reporting & Presentation: Contribute to the preparation of regular marketshare reports and presentations for internal stakeholders.
* Documentation: Document data sources, data transformation processes, and Power BI dashboard logic.
* Ad-hoc Support: Provide support for ad-hoc data requests and analytical projects as needed.
Qualifications:
* Education: Currently enrolled in Master's degree program in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
* Technical Skills:
* Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data manipulation).
* Exposure to Microsoft Power BI (dashboard creation, DAX).
* Basic programming skills (e.g., Python for data manipulation) are a plus but not required.
* Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with an aptitude for working with large datasets.
* Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data handling and reporting.
* Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Initiative: Proactive, self-starter with a strong desire to learn and contribute.
* Industry Interest: Demonstrated interest in the semiconductor industry and market dynamics.
