CO-OP PROGRAM FORMAT:
This co-op program will follow an in-person model. Co-ops will be based at CTC - Auburn Hills, Michigan along with Assembly Plants in Michigan and are expected to work on-site 5 days per week during work rotations. Co-ops will rotate aligned with the Kettering University co-op schedule. Applications are accepted year-round, and co-op cohorts start on a quarterly basis in and co-ops are intended to stay in the program until graduation.

This continuous engagement allows co-ops to apply their classroom learning in real-world settings on a daily basis, fostering deeper integration within their teams and organizations. As they progress through the program, co-ops are empowered to take on increasing levels of responsibility, gaining valuable experience, and making meaningful contributions along the way.
Co-ops will be assigned to a department based on the candidate's background and skill set. The assignments are project-oriented, meaningful to the department, and allow the co-op to provide valuable contributions. Co-ops experience a sense of personal accomplishment and learn about the corporate business culture through work assignments, structured activities, and exclusive student networking events.

DEPARTMENT DETAILS:
Quality Manufacturing:
A co-op student in an Assembly Plant would typically be placed into one of these areas depending on need:
* PQE (Plant Quality Engineering)
* Customer Protection / Audits
* Certification line quality
* Metrology
* Quality Gates / process verification roles
* Supplier quality support
A co-op student at CTC would typically be placed into one of these areas depending on need:
* Quality Engineering program tasks
* Launch quality
* Quality metrics and dashboards
* Customer insight / warranty data analysis
* Quality standards, training, and governance tasks
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
* Earned high school diploma, GED, or higher degree by June 2026
* Must be attending or accepted to attend Kettering University in the Co-op program
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering
* Prior internship or experience in Quality
* Exposure to engineering or technical environments is advantageous
* Strong data analysis capability
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Proficiency in Google Suite
* General computer proficiency
* Demonstrated interest in the automotive industry
* Curiosity about new technologies and modern manufacturing/quality tools
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work in a team environment
* Exhibits leadership characteristics
* Displays creative and innovative thinking
