Eaton's IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern.

The hourly rate for this position is $25.00 per hour.

What you'll do:

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
This position is for a student pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering who will complete a specified project centered around the development of a new, or improvement of an existing, process at the East Providence plant. This role is designed to give a student real experience in a manufacturing facility with ownership of a tangible project that will have significant impact to the site.

The work will require a basic working knowledge of engineering principles and problem-solving methods.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
A. Design, analyze and improve processes for the manufacturing of dynamic seals.
B. Develop tests, setup procedures, and troubleshooting methods for verification of new processes.
C. Work with team members across all functions to gather data, information, and direction as needed.
D. Assist Manufacturing Engineers in various process improvement projects.
E. Work with customers, suppliers, project managers and other engineering disciplines to optimize designs and identify cost trade-offs.
F. Create a presentation on work completed throughout the internship, and present to Site Leadership Team.
